If you look close, you can see the damage above stall entrance 13.
A closer view of the damage
Looking up at the opening for the smoke stacks.
A different type of "Baldwin" sitting in front of the roundhouse.
Looking at stall 13 and the pit. They were going to remove the cement, but decided to compact sand instead.
Part of a brake shoe hanger.
The rods are what they used to "raise the roof" so a new footer could be installed beneath the wood columns.
One of the two pillar blocks that were buried in the pit.
Short length of rail uncovered inside the roundhouse, approx. 7 feet long.
You can see the stones have been removed below the window opening on the side.
Interesting use of a railroad spike!
Hard to tell in this photo, but the foundation goes down over 6 feet!! It is still mortared that deep.
They are replacing a few of the original wooden rafters that are damaged due to weather and or fire.
Some of the fire damage. VERY old, so more than likely caused by a spark from a locomotive.
Rail and angle iron. Still inside the roundhouse!!
Hard to believe there are still tracks inside one of the stalls!! This is stall 6. Unknown how far out of the roundhouse stall it extended as the section of rail they cut off was already gone.
