Locks and keys from this railroad are very
hard to find, so I haven't been able to take many photos over the years. If you have
other styles of locks and or keys, please feel free to send a note!
Brass
cast round 6 lever.
Brass
cast switch cut. (This uses the early style key cut)
Stamped
F&CC. (This lock uses the earlier key cut)
Stamped FL & CCRR 1903 Fraim (This
uses the later style Colo Mid key cut)
Square hilt FL & CCRRCo Very unique style
hilt seldom seen. This key is for the early style switch key cut used by the
F&CC.
Early style tapered barrel key with the later version Colorado Midland key
cut.
This collection of F&CC locks and keys came together for a brief moment for this
photo. Note the differences in the brass cast versions. (lettering and
hasp sizes....thanks to several collectors for making this photo possible!!)
Brass CC&CS lock made by Fraim. After the
flood of 1912, the F&CC ceased operations through Phantom Canyon. In 1915, they
changed their name to the Cripple Creek & Colorado Springs RR which only lasted until
1917. The key cut remained the same as the later style F&CC however.
Steel key marked CC&CSRR, probably Fraim.
